The sun was out today, ahh.  The boys on the radio, this morning, said that we had gone 14 days without sun, man it really makes a difference!  My daughter noticed it immediately by showing us a decorative shadow in the hallway.  My husband insisted we all walk to school, even though the temperature was still way below freezing.  And I, well, I thought of using the natural light to take some good photos of what I’ve been crocheting lately.  Unfortunately, I didn’t get to the picture taking, so I’m sorry for the dimly lit examples.

I have been working on a custom order for a friend of mine.  She wanted a pair of off white yoga leg-warmers (at least that is what I’m calling them).  I came up with the pattern, and like usual, the first one took FOREVER to complete.  Between counting stitches, writing everything down, tearing things out, and re-counting, it took me almost a week to complete.  The second leg-warmer went a lot quicker, since I was using my pattern.  Here are a few photos I took before washing and blocking.

What do you think?  Would you be interested in the pattern?

My second WIP has been the blanket I’ve been working on for Project Linus.  I wrote about this charity here, and as soon as the leg warmers were finished I started the baby blanket.  I’m using a basket weave stitch with a blanket yarn, and I think any little one would be cozy in it.  I secretly wish I could snuggle up in this blanket too ;-).

Last but not least, I need to announce the winner of the heart earrings give-away.  Congratulations Yolanda Chavez from Yochet!  I’ll be reaching out on FaceBook to get your new heart studs to you!
