Happy Friday! It has been my daughter’s spring break and I’ve definitely taken a break too from all my usual routines. I just gorged myself in a leftover bacon cheeseburger and then ate a fist full of chocolate, my guilty conscience is starting to creep and I’ll be ready when I can get back on track. Especially with crochet!
I’ve been working on my Springtime Shawl, you can find the pattern here. It has not worked up as easily as usual, but I think it is because I crocheted when I was tired and not counted the stitches, sure enough the stitches would be off by the time I came to the mesh part. So, rip, rip, rip, and I’d be back where I started. Here is what I have done.
I’d like a border, not a fringe, but something that hangs down a bit. I might try something different than what I have so far. I also added a darker grey edging, I made it a bit thicker than the instructions, so it would pop. What do you think?
Here is more PINspiration!
This would be a great shawl to start for Fall. Love the chevron!
I wish I had made this for Easter, so pretty and Springy!
This is the inspiration for my Springtime shawl. The stitch is different, and she has twice the buttons, but a beautiful shawl, nonetheless.
I am slowly becoming a freeform addict. This piece is la creme de la creme (in color and style) of freeform. I love the elegance of this piece.
Hope you are inspired. I want to pick up my shawl game, after seeing these beauties! Feel free to follow me on Pinterest, I have a many crochet boards with lots of PINspiration! Have a wonderful Friday, and an even better weekend!
Happy Crocheting!
I love shawls!

I really like the contrast with the border color and that pretty little stitch you have there! I love shawls too. I made a shawl for my daughter for her wedding and she loved it so much she asked me to make some for her maid of honor and bridesmaids too – so I ended up making 7 in total! 😀

Thank you, I’m glad I decided on the border too😊. That is so awesome that you made shawls for your daughter’s wedding party. Looking back, I regret not doing something like that for my own wedding.
