I don’t have much to say this week, my daughter was hit with a flu bug and we spent the weekend tucked in. Let’s just say, crochet is the best way to spend the day when you can’t leave the house and have to watch kid TV all day. Yes, I could have spent the weekend doing odd chores that should get done, but with my craft fair taking place this weekend, I had my excuse to crochet all set up.
So, without further ado, here is some more items for sale this weekend.
More holiday blooms. I call these Snowflake Flowers. They are bigger than the poinsettia, and I think I like them more.
I had an order for smaller versions of my boho bag, they are to be given to 10 year old girls. This got me thinking of making little girl purses for the craft fair. I made three versions all different main colors. My daughter approves them all, so now I have to make her one.
The new question I am asking myself is, When do I stop? There is so much I want to make, and I keep buying yarn! I need to reign myself in, I just want to have enough inventory, and it is so satisfying to finish projects. I tell myself that whatever doesn’t sell is going to be Christmas gifts, so at least I have a back-up plan.
Hope you are all doing well, and staying healthy. Thanks for sharing all your makes on the blogland, I love getting inspired by you all!
Happy Crocheting!
N’awww I hope she’s feeling better soon and I hope you don’t come down with it!!
I love the little purses and I can see why they would be very popular with little girls. I would just keep crocheting to build stock with the yarn you have right now then see how it goes at the fair. If you sell out – that is NOT a bad thing!! And then you’ll have a better idea for the next craft fair. If you have business cards you could pass them out with a link here to your blog so that people could place orders if you run out, or buy any stock that you have leftover. 😀

All good ideas. Thanks Tami! The little one is back to school today and my husband and I seemed to have made it through without catching anything. Phew!😅

I’m sure you’re going to do very well at the craft fair! Those bags will be sold out, for sure, especially since each one looks so different from the other. People love one-of-a-kind accessories.

Well, I’d say don’t stop making until the actual day of the fair, at least that’s what I do. So maybe that’s not the best advice. 🙂 But hey, you can’t have too many pieces…

Ha! I’m totally obsessed with crocheting at the moment. So I doubt if I’ll be able to reign myself in anytime soon 😊.

I’m glad your daughter is feeling better 🙂
I love the poinsettias and the snowflake flowers, they’re both fab in their way, but my favourite favourite is that multi-coloured purse – I would totally use that, don’t care that I’m not a little girl any more!

My granddaughter would love the purse! I wish I had more time to try these. The only thing I know how to crochet is nylon net scrubbies!

Maybe I’ll write up a pattern, and you can give them a try! They were a hit with the girls at the craft fair 😊

I would love that. I just bought her a round loom to make a hat. I haven’t given it to her yet. She is only 6 but begged me to teach her how to make a scrubby but way too difficult for her.

A loom is a great way to start. My 5 year old has one and although I have to sit with her while she is working, it’s good eye hand coordination practice!
