Hello! It is Tuesday, and we officially have two weeks of Summer vacation left. Unfortunately, I’m counting down the days. I will miss Little C, especially since she will be in school full days this year, and I will miss the lazy mornings or afternoons we’d take doing crafts or watching kid shows. But, I am ready to get back into a schedule. I feel physically drained. Last week alone we spent every night out, listening to music in the park, overnight at a hotel, two days at Irish Fest, where Little C danced in front of big crowds.

I am ready for a break. Plus, I think I’m coming down with something, and my chest feels heavy and achy, not fun.
Okay, enough about me, this blog is about crochet! Luckily, I have been getting in a lot of crochet time, mostly because I’ve been getting orders, which is great! My main projects have been the Boho Bag. Here is the link again, in case any of you want to make one. Or, if you want to order one, check out the bottom of the post, I’d love to make one for you!
Here is what one satisfied customer shared to FaceBook!
Okay, I was starting to feel guilty that I haven’t made my daughter anything for a while (except breakfast, lunch, dinner, and her bed). She saw a photo of a pineapple and insisted I make her a keychain for her backpack. I made this up on the fly, sorry to say, I didn’t write up a pattern. But, it turned out pretty cute, although she wants me to put a smiley face on it too!
Last year I started this granny square top. Well, I finally pulled it out and finished it. I added a border to the bottom and edged the sleeves and neckline. Once I weave in the ends I will do a photoshoot for you. It was simple and turned out cute!
I have also had some orders for fingerless gloves. I have one finished, and one started. My plan is to have a four week series of fingerless glove patterns. The posts should start in a few weeks, so keep an eye out!
Lastly, my mom’s freeform purse is almost complete. I’ve been putting it off because I’m nervous about adding a zipper. But I will do it this week, so I should have some FO photos next week!
I’m starting to feel better just thinking about all I accomplished this week. Hope everyone is enjoying the last few weeks of Summer (in the U.S.) Happy Crocheting!

You won the Bracelet and Earrings 😃
Thank you for playing! 😍
What a great accomplishment for your sweet daughter…you’re understandably very proud. 😊
Your gift will go out tomorrow or Thursday…I had a little setback – my store got flooded overnight 😳 So we’re having a deep clean of the premises 😜
But I promise that your goodies will go out asap 🤓

Thanks! I think Little C is looking forward to going back to school too, I’m just not as fun as other 5 year olds 😉.

Haha, me neither. Though my children either love or hate each other, there’s no neutral ground!

Thanks, we are finally starting to wind down a bit. Now since I showed the top I have to weave in the ends!

Oh no, the dreaded ends. I’m seriously considering trying to start a trend for ends hanging out, so I don’t have to weave them in any more 😉

That purse is really really awesome, I can see why it’s so popular! Did you upgrade to the ecommerce site with wordpress? I want to do that but I’ve been too scared to take the leap.
This year is the first year in over 20 years that I don’t need to worry about getting anyone up and out the door for school! It’s going to be weird to track time without the school calendar to tell me what month I’m in. LOL 😀

Thanks Tami, using the ecommerce feature was really easy. I recommend it, especially with the tops you are making!
Looking forward to school starting, it seems like when one of us is on a schedule we all are!

Lovely projects. The bag is gorgeous, but I would spend all my time plaiting the tassels, then straightening them out. The pineapple would be so sweet in red with black flecks and made into a strawberry

Yes! I kept thinking the pineapple was shaped like a strawberry, that would be very cute!

Especially if you could manage it with a teeny tiny hook and embroidery thread and make mini strawberry earrings

I think I can do that, great idea!
