Here’s a quick view of a skirt that I started two Falls ago (as in 2015). It was supposed to look like this:
I got the pattern for this from the Interweave Crochet Magazine, Spring 2015.
Always one to put my own spin on things, I used a different yarn and created a tie at the waist. My reasoning for the tie is that my belly is bigger than my hips and the skirt kept slipping 😬. That would have been embarrassing in public. Here’s my version:
What do you think? The posts seem to twist the fabric instead of laying straight. Any suggestions?
Hope you’re finishing all your projects, Happy Crocheting!
Super cute!

This is a really pretty skirt! I’m curious, is it difficult to make clothing items (in general)?

Good question! I haven’t made a lot of clothes because I usually like quick projects. But, if the pattern is written well and you keep trying it on to make sure it is fitting right, it shouldn’t be too tough. Oh, and (even though it’s a pain) you gotta check the gauge. Good luck!

I think I actually like yours better than the original 🙂 Plus, I can’t crochet at all so it’s 100% better than anything I could do!
